Tickets are now on sale for the Broadway premiere of Living on Love, a new comedy by Joe DiPietro. The play will mark the Great White Way debut of superstar soprano Renée Fleming. Performances will begin on April 1, 2015 at the Longacre Theatre.
Directed by Kathleen Marshall, Living on Love, follows celebrated diva Raquel DeAngelis (Fleming). When her husband, the fiery and egomaniacal Maestro Vito DeAngelis, becomes enamored with the lovely young lady hired to ghostwrite his long-delayed autobiography, Rachel retaliates by hiring her very own—and very handsome—ghostwriter to chronicle her life as an opera star. Sparks fly, silverware is thrown, and romance blossoms. The comedy is adapted from Garson Kanin’s Peccadillo.
Opening night for Living on Love is set for April 20. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.
